Tabasco & Avery Island


Not far from New Orleans, Louisiana you’ll find a special “mysteriously beautiful” place called Avery Island.  It’s best known as the place where Tabasco products are made.

Visitors can tour the Tabasco factory and/or visit the jungle gardens for wonderful scenery including plant life and native animals.

I chatted with John Simmons, the Manager of Agriculture for Tabasco and a sixth generation McIlhenny family member.
